Hello
Many thanks for the photo of Heinves, interesting to see that he had chaned his name from a more german name into a Estonian last name.
No one who happens to known when he died or in which town he was born.
I must say that you guys are marvelous!!
Best regards

This was very common in Estonia in 1930s, more than 200 000 people changed their names

Hello,
Many thanks for that info about changing heir lastname, it was totally new to me.
can anyone ad more info on this officer -
SS-Ostuf Martin Hunt, he is listed in his SSO as MIA (Vermisst) but in some cases that also meant that they was captured and became POW.
I know that you also list all Estoniasns who got the Eiserne Kreuz and I can confirm that he was awarded both classes
Best regards

I wonder if someone can ad some info on Maks Christian Henn, I really would like to know where he ended up after his service in the ersatz Abteilung. And if someone knows when he died I would appriciate it a lot.
Thanks in advance

Hello all
I thought that this would interest you all.
Its the lifestory written by Robert Helde , future SS-Ustuf in 20.SS. He wrote this when he attended the Course at SS-JUkerschule Tölz between 1943-1944.
Best regards

Georg S.: the information about Maks Henn is wrong. He never served in the Feld.Ers.Btl.20! He served as Kp.Fhr of the 2./SS-Btl."Reval" (Einheit "Fischer").
Its also nice to see the personalfile of my old friend Robert Helde. I remember sending him his file after that I found it in Bundesarchiv Berlin. He found it very interesting.
