His grandson says in this article that Johannes fought against the Soviet forces and after the battle of Emajõgi (SEPT 1944) he went with some men to the forests of Pärnu County and became a Forest Brother. He was arrested and sent to Siberia. He came back and died in Estonia in 1985.
