Hello,
I would like to post two hats that I recently obtained in an auction.
I would welcome any information about these two very special pieces of Estonian headgear.
Please accept my apologies, I don't speak Estonian.

The first hat is Estonian army Cavalry Regiment field uniform hat, 1926 model. Missing a cocarde.
The second one is Estonian Defence League (EDL) cavalry hat, 1925 model. Below is the general EDL hat badge and above Järva District cocarde.

Thanks for your replies.
Any idea what the stamps on the inside of the army cavalry hat indicate?
Year?
Regiment?
Battalion?
Clothing Depot?

There were stamps added by the Army Ministry of Supply and also in the unit.
The triangular stamp was added in the unit. In your hat "31" is the year and "R" stands for Ratsarügement (Cavalry Regiment).

"I" and "S ESK" are the marking of the sub-unit.
ESK most likely stands for eskadron (
escadron = company size cavalry unit). But I don't know the meaning of "S" in front.
"I" is the number of the escadron.

I am guessing that other numbers might be added by the Ministry of Supply - manufacturing contract number etc.
